|
Once you have successfully completed the PDIC portion of your studies (if studying the 1st Year (equivalent) or Preliminary Masters courses), you will be able to progress onto your chosen second year or Masters programme at the University of Plymouth. At PDIC you will study a University designed programme, taught mainly by University lecturers on the Plymouth city centre campus. The courses follow the university curricula and assessment requirements, so you will also be working to the same high standards. Direct Progression from PDIC to the University of PlymouthAt PDIC we are proud of our association with the University of Plymouth and work closely with the University's academic schools to ensure that once you complete the PDIC portion of your studies, you are fully prepared to progress onto subsequent years at Plymouth and eventually graduate with a good degree. FlexibilityChoosing to study at PDIC offers you the flexibility of starting your studies at three points in the year - February,June and October. This allows you to join the degree programme of choice ahead of other students who may choose the traditional UK academic entry system with degrees starting in September. LocationThe university is located at the geographical and emotional heart of thecity of Plymouth and plays a key role in the city's cultural, economic and social life, with strong links to business and professional communities across the South West and throughout the UK. PDIC is located within the main campus which is within easy walking distance of the city centre, and is a great sunny seaside spot Value for moneyPDIC tuition fees are very competitively priced compared to other similar UK institutions, providing an affordable quality education. In addition to this, Plymouth is the cheapest UK University city to live in according to a 2008 poll conducted by the Royal Bank of Scotland. Plus the important role tourism plays in the local economy provides many opportunities for PDIC students to secure part time work. Class sizesPDIC prides itself on having small classes which average 20 students through all programmes. This lets you familiarize yourself with the university environment at Foundation or 1st Year level before joining the larger classes at University. Smaller class sizes at PDIC compared to Universities, and still being able to study on a UK University campus, makes studying with us an easy choice! |
