- Masters Preliminary Programme

PDIC will be developing Masters Preliminary programmes in conjunction with the University of Plymouth over the next year. These programmes will provide articulation to the University's postgraduate degrees at Masters level in a variety of disciplines for international students who have not qualified for direct entry. Masters Duration
Programme duration Masters Preliminary programmes are normally one (1) semester in duration but may be two (2) depending on the requisites of the discipline undertaken (generalist or specialist). Masters Preliminary programmes will be extended if English language training is required. Entry dates
Entry Dates
The programme has two to three intakes each year with the next intake in June 2010.
Assesment
Assessment for most modules is continuous, consisting of tests, assignments and dissertation. Most modules have a final two-hour examination.
Programme Structure
Students will complete a series of modules in their programme covering the core research and scholarship skills as well as academic knowledge and understanding of the discipline undertaken. Upon successful completion these programmes will enable students to have a seamless transition into the relevant University of Plymouth Masters degree.
English language requirements
Students who do not meet the English language requirement of IELTS 6.0 are able to undertake the required amount of English language training to prepare them for successful entry into the Masters Preliminary programme. |
